International Exposition - Tsukuba '85

The first time Praia has put its full language capabilities to work was when it collaborated with Japan's top two video production companies to produce promotional material in 17 languages for the Tsukuba International Science and Technology Exposition, held from March 17 to September 16, 1985.

National Sports Championship

Among many other events it produced in Japan, the T-fal Cup is noteworthy. By joining forces with the Japan Futsal Federation (JFF) and with the support of T-fal Japan, Praia created the first-ever ladies' futsal tournament in Japan in 2000, with the participation of 12 ladies' teams from Tokyo. Five years later, as the event expanded to over 800 teams from all 47 prefectures of Japan, Praia signed a contract with the Japan Football Association (JFA) for turning it into the All-Japan National Ladies' Futsal Championship starting from 2004.

International Theatre Company

Every spring, Praia brings TNT theatre Britain to perform Shakespearean plays all over Japan. For a quarter century, performances directed by Paul Stebbings have been hosted by over 100 Japanese universities. We have, however, a public performance anyone can attend.

A Midsummer Night's Dream * May 14 - June 1, 2019
